nine days ago, there was a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! in my neighborhood that led to the complete destruction of 3 city buildings, major fire damage to 2 others, displacing nearly 100 individuals and families, hospitalizing 19 (i think), and taking the lives of 2 young men.

mentioned it !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! it the day after.

trying to extract some interesting car-related news from this disaster, comes this week's NicePriceorCrackPipe: Gas explosion/7-alarm fire edition

seen here is a minivan that was parked on seventh street close to the fire, following the gas explosion, fire fighters and emergency workers protected the car from significant weather damage or vandalism by forcing the corner building down onto it. NYPD subsequently moved the family-hauler down the block to cooper square, where it is now presented to you as your potential next ride.

as this is a "best offer," sale, its not quite a npocp situation, but what would your best offer be?

indeed. i didn't make the sign.

ive been fostering a friend who has been displaced, and her until recently missing 2 cats. my lady friend and i live in a one bedroom apartment, and with our new house guest, her bouts of sobbing and underlying significant depression, and furry friends, to whom i am allergic, i have not slept in my own bed since last wednesday. thankfully i have business engagements that can keep my in somewhat local hotels, and now easter, and next week business in california.

with the size of the explosion and fire, i'm surprised the casualties weren't more numerous. and with all of the loss and sadness, many of us are ready to jump on any semblance of humor.

Here's my wish for this circumstance:

One of the city's (numerous) mega rich residents sees this, respects and appreciates the ability to handle such stress with such humility and humor, and offers $15-20k for the vehicle. How awesome would that be?
